The National Centre for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) in collaboration with SHEMSI Sdn Bhd will be delivering the “GRI Standards Certified Training – Reporting with GRI Standards 2021 Update” on 7 – 9 June 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, via face-to-face.
This three-day course will introduce you to the latest GRI Standards 2021 and prepare you for the implementation of your organisation’s sustainability reporting process.
Through reporting, an organisation can understand and better manage its impacts on the economy, environment and society. It can identify and reduce risks, seize new opportunities, and take action towards becoming a more responsible and trusted organisation. The GRI Standards can help by creating a common language for organisations – large or small, private or public – to report on their sustainability impacts in a consistent and credible way. This enhances global comparability and enables organisations to be transparent and accountable. KPMG’s Survey of Sustainability Reporting 2020 found that the GRI Standards offer the only sustainability reporting framework that can demonstrate widespread global adoption.
This course covers the recently launched GRI Standards 2021 and is equivalent to the first two courses of GRI’s Professional Certification Program.
*Those thinking of attending the course should note that a number of stock exchanges in ASEAN are in the process of either reviewing or changing their reporting requirements to include some form of sustainability reporting. Bursa Malaysia notably launched its Sustainability Framework, Sustainability Reporting Guide and Toolkits in 2015, to encourage public listed companies to take on the sustainability path. Attendance at this course may assist participants to better understand the requirements and its implementation.*
