Online GRI Standards Certified Training, 5 – 8 April 2021 Malaysia
The National Centre for Sustainability Reporting (NCSR) in collaboration with SHEMSI Sdn Bhd will be delivering a “GRI Standards Certified Training” online via ZOOM on 5 – 8 April 2021 for participants based in Malaysia. This online version of the training course is temporary due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This four-day intensive workshop will introduce you to the elements of a sustainability report using GRI’s five step process: “prepare, connect, define, monitor and report”, and prepare you to coordinate the sustainability reporting process. You will receive essential GRI publications and learn how to apply these five steps when preparing your own report.
Through reporting, an organisation can understand and better manage its impacts on the economy, environment and society. It can identify and reduce risks, seize new opportunities, and take action towards becoming a more responsible and trusted organisation. The GRI Standards can help by creating a common language for organisations – large or small, private or public – to report on their sustainability impacts in a consistent and credible way. This enhances global comparability and enables organisations to be transparent and accountable. KPMG’s Survey of Sustainability Reporting 2020 found that the GRI Standards offer the only sustainability reporting framework that can demonstrate widespread global adoption.
